OFFICIAL MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL METTING 

OF THE SEYMOUR CITY COUNCIL 

SEYMOUR, IOWA -- JANUARY 26, 2017


Seymour City Council met on the 26th day of January, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Housh presiding.  Present: Carter [left 6:30], Housh, Merritt, Rembe, Weeks. Absent:  None. The purpose of the meeting is to approve a liquor license for Casey's General store, to review the current budget, consider options and changes for the new fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.


AGENDA:  Moved by Rembe, seconded by Carter to approve the agenda.  A.V.A.M.C.


LIQUOR LICENSED:  Moved by Weeks, seconded by Merritt to approve the Class E Liquor License with privileges of Class B Native Wine Permit, Class C Beer Permit [carryout] and Sunday Sales.  A.V.A.M.C.


BIDGET ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION:  Items discussed regarding the proposed included establishment of a committee for code enforcement, capital improvement projects, Wayne Community Grant Applications, and submitting a CDBG Housing Grant Application  The Council was also notified that Jerry Sharp has submitted his two-week notice and will be resigning as City employee effective February 3, 2017; further discussion will follow at the February 13, 2017 regular meeting.  Approval was given to the library request for an additional $1000.00 per year.  The clerk was instructed to have a completed budget proposal ready for review as the February 13, 2017 meeting.
